Here is the “story”: One night 2 brothers found an injured mermaid on the beach…They nursed her back to health and fell head over heels in love with her. In their madness they killed each other. Before returning to the sea, the mermaid begged Poseidon to let them retain a shape in memory of their passion. The God of the Sea created the 2 rocks.
Other legends evoke giant octopuses and buried treasures…But we must not tell secrets!
